The cooking facilities in the lodge were top-notch, with a wide range of appliances and utensils available. It was really convenient to have a washer dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. the hosts provided lovely touches like fresh flowers, butter, milk, and coffee capsules – it felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the river and shops, while still offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It felt like being in the countryside while being centrally located. The bed was large and comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water.

The weather during our trip wasn't the best, but it did improve after the first day and we even had some sunshine. We were hoping to catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness monster, but unfortunately, it's usually only spotted in March, just before the start of the tourist season.
